OOAK Crystal Pendulum
One-of-a-Kind.
There are records that pendulums have been used since the days of ancient Egypt. Originally used for “dowsing” to locate underground water sources, minerals - or anything unseen below the surface - pendulums continue to be utilized as a tool of divination.
While truly most anything that can swing from a string or chain can be used to create a pendulum, most modern practitioners create their pendulums from pointed crystal prisms. This is two fold - not only is it a beautiful alternative to the metal or carved wood findings of the past, but you can also tap into the power of crystal magic to aid in your divination practice.
Using a pendulum is quite simple. As with any crystal or magic tool, it’s best to wash your tool of others energy and claim it as your own. This can be done with clear running water or burning rosemary and passing your tool through the smoke. Focus on connecting with your pendulum and recite:
“Great and powerful ancient source that be; I cleanse this tool as it may sing to me. Thank you for the knowledge you bestow; May I hear your call above, as below.”
Pendulums are meant to guide you in Yes or No answers; not to be the final word on anything in your life - much like any other divination practice. Pendulums are meant to open your heart to possibility.
Most practitioners hold their pendulum chain with their dominant hand and allow the crystal point to hang just above the open palm of your other hand. Once the crystal is absolutely still, you may ask your question.
While you can assign any meaning you wish to the pendulum swing, most often if the crystal moved back and forth it is saying YES and if it moves side to side, it is communicating NO.
